50th Anniversary celebration
Company News - Monday 26th Jul 2010To celebrate the 50th trading year of the company we held a barbeque at Stoneham Park for all employees, past and present, together with their families. Three hundred and fifty people turned up and we all had a great time. Everyone enjoyed the display of our latest vehicles and trailers, which together with pony rides, tractor rides, a steam train, laser shotgun, bouncy castles, face painting, children's show and live jazz band made for a memorable day.
The highlight of the event was when Ray Lambert made a speech about the history of the company. He thanked all employees past and present who had made a such a great contribution to the company's success. He made particular mention of those employees who had more than ten years service. After his speech presentations were made by long service employees to Ray and his brother Tony, who were the two founders of the company. Bouquets of flowers were presented to Ray's wife Shirley and Tony's wife Libby. All in all a fantastic day and the weather was kind too! The picture shows Ray and Tony Lambert.

Refurbished warehouse - more information
Company News - Monday 24th May 2010More on the above! This shot shows the inside, of the warehouse illustrating the height and clear open span. The warehouse has four 20ft wide goods doors facing a large secure yard. If you at all interested in using this building please contact Clive Watkins, Managing Director.

Refurbished warehouse
Company News - Monday 24th May 2010We have just completed the refurbishment of one of our main warehouses. The unit is 40,000 sq. ft (12,192 sq. m), with a clear span steel portal frame with 10.5m to the apex and 8.5m to the eaves. If racked with a convential layout there would be 5,500 pallet spaces. The unit is within our custom bond area and is equipped with alarms and CCTV.

Investing in the business
Company News - Wednesday 17th Mar 2010We have purchased eight new 13.6 curtain sided trailers from Montrecon. Built to the latest specification three of them are equipped with tail lifts to meet a growing demand for this type of equipment. The trailers will enter service by the end of April 2010.

Palletline delivery depot of the year - 2009
Company News - Monday 1st Mar 2010We are really proud to have been awarded the prestigious 2009 Delivery Depot of the Year. This award is split into three categories based on the number of pallets each member handles. We won the award in the large depot category. This is a recognition of all the hard work done over 2009 by everyone at Lambert Brothers in providing a consistently good service to all our customers and Palletline members.

Save costs! - use our crane equipped vehicles.
Customer Information - Friday 16th Oct 2009Did you know that we operate several crane vehicles which are proving very popular with some customers? Our largest crane can lift over 2300kgs over 11m and so can prove very useful in lifting over walls and fences.
We use the crane fleet to lift everything from a pallet of bricks into a back garden to lifting large structures onto a building site. Use of one of our crane equipped vehicles can prove very cost effective because it removes the requirement to hire a crane to meet a vehicle on site.

Customer Information - Friday 16th Oct 2009Most of our collection orders are still faxed to us. But are you aware that you can enter jobs into our system via our web site? This gives you the benefit of an instant acknowledgement that we have received the order - saved addresses and standard jobs also save you time on input.
You don't need any hardware - just internet access from your own PC.
You can also print off a despatch manifest and pallet labels if required.

Note: You can also view all your signed proof of delivery notes (PODs), via this web site. Every POD is scanned and indexed to a number of search fields. If you wish to use this facility please let us know. You can also view the POD signatures within minutes of our drivers obtaining them on their digital signature capture devices.

Flat bed vehicles and trailers
Customer Information - Tuesday 22nd Sep 2009We are one of the few hauliers in the area who operate flatbed vehicles and trailers. Our drivers are experienced in handling a wide range of loads. This picture shows Steve, who has just loaded his vehicle, M60 LAM, a 26 tonne 6 wheeler, the only Renault in the fleet. He has filled up with diesel and is all ready to go first thing in the morning.
