Latest addition to the fleet
Company News - Sunday 18th May 2008The picture shows our newest vehicle turning out of our No17 warehouse yard. The vehicle is an Iveco Stralis 450 BHP 44 tonne GVW 6 x 2 unit with automatic gears. We have been operating a similar one for 3 years with good results. We have another 3 Stralis's on order which are planned to go into service in August.

Still faxing? Save time - try this!
Customer Information - Monday 12th May 2008Most of our collection orders are still faxed to us. But are you aware that you can enter jobs into our system via our web site? This gives you the benefit of an instant acknowledgement that we have received the order - saved addresses and standard jobs also save you time on input.
You don't need any hardware - just internet access from your own PC.
You can also print off a despatch manifest and pallet labels if required.
Please contact us if you would like further information.
Note: you can also view all your signed proof of delivery notes (PODs), via this web site. Every POD is scanned and indexed to a number of search fields. If you wish to use this facility please let us know.

25 year's service
Company News - Thursday 20th Dec 2007This week we were pleased to mark the occasion of 25 year's of service by Rob West, who is one of our senior vehicle technicians. Rob started work as a young man in the workshop in 1982 and has been looking after our fleet ever since! The picture shows Rob being presented with a gold watch by Ray Lambert, our Chairman.

More new trailers
Company News - Wednesday 17th Oct 2007We have purchased eight new 13.6 curtain sided trailers from Montrecon. Built to the latest specification they have immediately been put to good use for the Christmas rush.

New Venture
Company News - Wednesday 17th Oct 2007We have recently put two 8 wheel DAF 32 tonne GWV tippers into operation. This is a new venture for us following detailed discussions with a significant aggregates and minerals company in the area. The vehicles are based in our yard at Eastleigh.

Aerodynamic double deckers
Company News - Wednesday 29th Aug 2007We have updated and increased our Palletline trunker fleet with four new double deck trailers, designed with a curved aerodynamic front bulkhead. We anticipate up to 8% fuel savings which will be very welcome on the 300 miles round trip to the Palletline Birmingham hub. The trailers have been supplied by Decker trailers and other features include a mesh top deck and internal load restraint straps.

Roping and Sheeting
Company News - Saturday 21st Apr 2007We still operate a large number of flat bed trailers and from time to time run training/refresher courses for our drivers. These cover general load security, roping and sheeting. The photo shows Dave Smith, one of most experienced drivers, explaining how to keep sheets tight on even the most awkward of loads.
